Port Stephens is the hardest place in our service area on an outdoor unit. Salt air, sea spray on the exposed streets of Nelson Bay and Shoal Bay, and long humid summers that keep systems running for weeks at a time.
That changes how we specify. Where a brand offers a corrosion-protected outdoor coil, we recommend it for anything near the water. Units are placed out of the direct sea breeze where the house allows, on stands or brackets that will not rust, and serviced on a shorter interval than an inland system. It is the difference between a system that lasts fifteen years on the bay and one that leaks refrigerant in its seventh.
The area has three kinds of job. Family homes and retirees' homes in Salamander Bay, Corlette, Anna Bay and Medowie, where ducted or a multi-split makes sense. Holiday lets and apartments in Nelson Bay and Shoal Bay, where the system has to be simple for guests and reliable through the Christmas bookings. And the newer estates at Medowie, Fern Bay and Raymond Terrace, where ducted goes in before the first summer. Measured in person
Greg or Shaun visits your home or site, checks the rooms, roof space, power and where the outdoor unit can live. No sizing off a floor plan alone.
A fixed written quote
You get the system, the brand, the price and what is included, in writing. If something is not in the quote, you will not be charged for it later.
Booked, stocked, ready
Units and ducting come from our own Beresfield warehouse, so the install date we give you is the date we turn up, not the date the supplier delivers.
Installed by our own crews
Trained in-house, in TOZER uniform, floor mats down and taped. Neat penetrations, sealed and capped, and the site swept before the van leaves.
Commissioned and checked
Every system is run on heating and cooling, pressures and temperatures checked, and signed off against our completion checklist before we hand over the controller.
Backed for five years

Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic and Mitsubishi Electric all offer corrosion-protected outdoor coils on many of their ranges, and that treatment matters more than the badge on the front. We will tell you at the measure which models suit a bayside position, and where a standard coil is fine because the house is sheltered.
I manage a holiday let. Can you look after several units?
Yes. We service and repair systems in holiday lets across Nelson Bay, Shoal Bay and Fingal Bay, and can schedule pre-season services for a group of properties in one visit. Call the Port Stephens number and ask for Lee.
How often should a bayside system be serviced?
Yearly for most Port Stephens homes, and every six months for units right on the water or in exposed positions. The service includes a coil clean, which is what removes the salt before it does damage.
Can you install in a strata apartment in Nelson Bay?
Yes. The questions are where the outdoor unit can go and what the by-laws allow. Bring the strata rules to the measure and we will tell you what is workable.
Do you cover Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest?
Yes, across the bridge to Tea Gardens, Hawks Nest and Pindimar. Travel is built into the quote for an install, and quoted with the call-out for a service or repair.
How far is Beresfield from the bay?
About forty minutes to Nelson Bay and twenty to Raymond Terrace and Medowie, which is why our crews are in Port Stephens most weeks. Units come from the Beresfield warehouse, not a truck from Sydney.
